She serves as local coordinator for the Sicilian Science Cluster for the activities related to the European Doctorate PCAM (presentation video).
In 2017 she created, for CNR-IMM Catania, a project dedicated to the dissemination of scientific disciplines to young women, the STEM Women in Science project, an activity for which she has been invited to present numerous seminars by various Italian schools and universities, involving more than 4400 young students and professors so far. In July 2022 she was appointed as the responsible and coordinator at regional level for a project, promoted by an international service association, to support women against gender violence, for which she coordinated the activities of 92 persons and involving more than 5000 citizens in the whole Sicily. For these activities, in 2023, she received from the District Chair the prestigious Melvin Jones, the international recognition dedicated to humanitarian services.
