Francesco Maita received the Master degree, summa cum laude, in Electronics Engineering and the Ph.D. in “Engineering of Sensorial and Learning Systems” both from the “Università degli studi di Roma Tor Vergata”, in 2008 and 2013, respectively. He won, in 2009, the prize "Rita e Sebastiano Raeli" as the best student in Engineering faculty of University Roma Tor Vergata. He worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute for Microelectronics and Microsystems of the CNR of Rome from the 2012 to 2016, working on design, fabrication and characterization of electronic readout circuits for sensing based on low temperature polysilicon. Since 2017, he works as a researcher at the same institution, where he's the referent for the Microoptoelectromechanical (MOEMS) system workgroup. Since 2021 he is an expert referent for micro/nanolithography in the European network “Euronanolab”. His research activity is focused on electronic design, fabrication and characterization of smart circuits for sensing. In particular, his fields of expertise are in 1) design of front-end electronics and circuits for sensors based on inorganic and organic electronics on flexible substrates; 2) Design, fabrication and characterization of flexible sensors and custom PCBs for biomedical and wearable applications; 4) Design of application specific integrated circuits (ASIC) and software for wireless sensor networks (WSN).
